Tranquil Family Room Project

Project Overview:

Step into a world of transformation as we unveil the stunning renovation of a dated and cluttered family room. What was once a space with yellow and peach-colored walls and an awkward paneled bar area, has now been reborn into a functional and inviting sanctuary for family gatherings, entertainment, and relaxation.

We focused on bringing warmth and light to the room, removing the outdated popcorn ceiling, and replacing it with a smooth, drywall ceiling. The flush mount ceiling fixtures were replaced with low profile, dimmable LED recessed lights, casting a soft glow that can be adjusted to suit any mood or occasion.

A wood cap and trim were meticulously added to the exterior wall foundation, instantly bestowing the foundation wall with a sense of elegance and sophistication. Painted in an off-white hue, it emulates the timeless charm of traditional wainscoting, creating a striking contrast against the deep blue walls that envelop the room.

The focal point of the room underwent a dramatic shift as well. The television has now found its place on the wall, centered within the expanded seating area. A generously sized upholstered storage ottoman provides a convenient storage solution for extra pillows and blankets.

The outdated bar area was ingeniously transformed into a much-needed storage closet, allowing for a more open and functional space. A game table and four upholstered chairs were introduced behind the seating area, creating an additional area for family fun and bonding.

The once tired and uninspiring room has blossomed into a captivating and inviting oasis, showcasing the perfect marriage of timeless elegance and contemporary style.
