Gibson Island is located in Anne Arundel County, MD, and is an island and an unincorporated community within the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Gibson Island is the eastern terminus of Maryland Route 177 and connects to the mainland with a causeway.

Gibson Island Club – The Gibson Island Club has a 9-hole golf course, year-round fine dining, tennis courts,  a fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool that has an excellent view of the Chesapeake Bay.

St. Christopher Chapel – St. Christopher Chapel is a small chapel where in addition to Sunday worship and special occasions, educational and recreational events are often held for both children and adults of Gibson Island. 

Gibson Island Historical Society – The Gibson Island Historical Society was formed in 1968 by islanders who aimed to preserve the unique artifacts of the community, with some of these artifacts dating back to prehistoric times.
