Annapolis Waterfront Family Room Project

Project Overview:

Welcome to this beautiful waterfront home, where a stunning transformation has taken place, breathing new life into the interior. The existing furnishings, once brown and dated, have been replaced with a coastal-inspired design that perfectly complements the home’s location. 

The color palette takes cues from the coastal surroundings. These refreshing hues create an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance, enhancing the overall coastal aesthetic. To add visual interest and depth, a mix of textures is incorporated throughout the room. 

The centerpiece of the room is a deep-seated, angular sofa that invites you to sink in and relax after a day on the water. Upholstered in an off-white performance fabric, the sofa not only brightens the space but also offers durability and practicality. 

Functionality meets style with two rattan cocktail ottomans, providing a versatile addition to the room. Serving as footrests or a place to rest a plate or drink, they add a touch of coastal charm and texture. The hand-knotted rug steals the show, grounding the space with its bold colors and inviting texture. 

No coastal retreat is complete without a corner window nook that captures the essence of serenity and relaxation. Two swivel chairs invite you to take a seat, sip a beverage, and bask in the breathtaking scenery just beyond the glass. 

The transformation extends beyond the Family Room, as thoughtful design touches are carried throughout the open floor plan. Sculpted earth-toned rugs have been replaced with organic sisal, and in the dining area, a blue floor covering.

With every detail carefully considered, this newly designed space encapsulates the essence of coastal living. The KD Designs Team also helped with the Primary Bedroom and Lower Level Club Room.
